Fire Hall treated to some TLC

A large crane raised its head above the old Fire Hall today, as the owners of the building prepared to remove the old tower as part of repair and restoration work. The Stanley Knight Historical bought the Fire Hall from Meaford two years ago, and it's good to see some care being taken of the landmark designated heritage building.

"Right now we're doing maintenance and repair on the tower," says Ron Knight. "We're replacing rotted material and assessing the magnitude of the work. We have no plans for major changes."
